EMDR TreatmentEye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a method of treating individuals with severe trauma that is unresolved and causes extreme symptoms and discomfort. EMDR helps in processing these distressing and overwhelming situations. The entire process consists of 8 phases. This is a nontraditional type of psychotherapy for treating PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder); physical assault; rape, or auto accidents. As it is not a talk therapy, the client uses his/her own rapid, rhythmic eye movement control the power of emotionally charged memories from the past traumatic events.

EMDR has also proved successful in examining and treating people with panic attacks, eating disorders, addictions, anxiety, and depression. EMDR is considered a safe therapy with no side effects.
